DIY Outdoor Fall Décor

Welcome the beauty of fall to your home by creating simple yet stylish outdoor decorations for your front door and porch. Try our DIY décor suggestions to turn your front landscape into a festive fall display.

DIY Pumpkin Vase

Combine a hint of Halloween with fall flowers by creating pumpkin vases to line your front-porch steps. Cut a hole at the top of a pumpkin, and empty the seeds from the inside. Once the inside is clean, fill pumpkin with mums or other seasonal flowers.

Burlap Fall Wreath

Forgo paying a fortune for a decorative wreath, and instead create an inexpensive burlap version for your front door. To create this stylish garland, you will need burlap ribbon, a wreath frame and wire. If you’d like to add a touch of color, weave in different colors of ribbon along with the burlap.

To make, use wire to attach burlap ribbon to the frame of the wreath. Intertwine and twist burlap throughout the frame. Do the same with colored ribbon, if desired. When finished, use wire to fasten the ends of the ribbon to the frame.

Pumpkin Plant Display

If DIY isn’t your forte, easily amplify your outdoor décor by filling an outdoor planter with multicolored miniature pumpkins. This easy decoration adds a perfect fall touch to your front porch. For variety, add vegetables such as gourds or squashes.

Harvest Décor

Celebrate the harvest by framing your door or porch with cornstalks. If your porch has columns, wrap cornstalks around them and place pumpkins or a haystack in front, for an authentically rustic display.
