Book Clubs and Bubbly

Starting a book club is a fun, easy way to connect with friends this summer. And with social platforms that allow everyone to hop online together, you can include friends both near and far! Check out our suggestions to make your summer book club a blast.

Deciding which books to read doesn’t have to be a chore. Make it fun by giving each friend a genre and having them choose a book that fits within it. As for deciding whose book to read first, get creative when scheduling. Maybe order your books alphabetically or just keep things simple and draw titles out of a hat. You can also keep everyone on the edge of their seats by only announcing your next read once everyone has finished the current novel. This reveal could be a fun way to wrap up each of your get-togethers.

Keep your book club lively and engaging by inviting friends to each share one question/topic they’d like to discuss. These don’t have to be serious themes (unless that’s your thing!) but questions such as, “who was your favorite character and why?” or “If this book were made into a movie, which actor/actress would play the lead?” are always fun conversation starters!

Even if everyone is unable to meet up in person, a fun way to make your book club more festive is by sending out a cocktail recipe everyone can sip on from the comfort of their patio. Have friends submit a recipe beforehand, and just like your reading list, pick a new drink for each meeting. Our Citrus KORBEL Punch is a delicious place to start!
