Ring in the new year with friends over a DIY New Years brunch! This is the perfect time to share stories and photos from the highlights of the previous year over delicious food and tasty beverages. Check out our different recipes and décor ideas below to ensure that your crew has a sparkling start to the new year.
Brunch Pizzas
Everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure, with a twist. Build your own brunch pizza bar to allow guests to make their own creations. What you’ll need for this spread is the following:
Whole-wheat pizza crust Pesto and tomato Sauce Diced ham Scrambled eggs Diced yellow bell pepper Mozzarella Basil Garlic Sea salt Olive oil
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Begin by coating a piece of whole-wheat pizza crust with a desired sauce or olive oil. Next, your guests can add their choice of toppings. Offer herbs such as basil and rosemary for the finishing touch. Place pizzas on a baking sheet, and bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until golden-brown.
Yogurt Parfaits
For another healthy brunch option, offer up individual yogurt parfaits. For extra sparkle, offer edible gold flakes, as featured in our photos, to sprinkle in your parfait, for a prosperous 2017.
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1 cup granola ½ teaspoon cinnamon 4 martini glasses
In a small bowl, combine granola and cinnamon, and mix thoroughly. Fill a glass with ¼ cup of yogurt, then pour ¼ cup of granola mixture over yogurt. Serve immediately, or refrigerate. Serves 4.
