Everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure, with a twist. Build your own brunch pizza bar to allow guests to make their own creations. What you’ll need for this spread is the following:
Whole-wheat pizza crust
Pesto and tomato Sauce
Diced yellow bell pepper
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Begin by coating a piece of whole-wheat pizza crust with a desired sauce or olive oil. Next, your guests can add their choice of toppings. Offer herbs such as basil and rosemary for the finishing touch. Place pizzas on a baking sheet, and bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until golden-brown.
For another healthy brunch option, offer up individual yogurt parfaits. For extra sparkle, offer edible gold flakes, as featured in our photos, to sprinkle in your parfait, for a prosperous 2017.
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1 cup granola
½ teaspoon cinnamon
4 martini glasses
In a small bowl, combine granola and cinnamon, and mix thoroughly. Fill a glass with ¼ cup of yogurt, then pour ¼ cup of granola mixture over yogurt. Serve immediately, or refrigerate. Serves 4.
Try this bright and exciting brunch cocktail to continue the 2017 celebration.
1½ oz. cherry juice
½ oz. lemon juice
3 oz. KORBEL Brut
To a shaker with ice, add cherry and lemon juices. Shake, and strain over ice in a glass. Top with KORBEL, and garnish with edible gold flakes.
