Halloween Craft Idea

Scare up some fun and get your house ready for Halloween with this simple craft that makes great use of empty KORBEL bottles.

Ghost and Jack-O’-Lantern Bottle Heads

  • Empty KORBEL bottles (green for the jack-o’-lantern and clear for the ghost)
  • Paint scraper
  • Adhesive remover (optional, if needed)
  • Painter’s tape
  • Spray paint (orange for jack-o’-lantern, white or frosted glass for ghosts)
  • Black paint pens

Soak KORBEL bottles. Use paint scraper to remove labels. For tough jobs, use adhesive remover. Let bottles dry completely. If you are creating a jack-o’-lantern, use painter’s tape to cover up the neck of the green bottle to create the pumpkin’s stem. Spray-paint bottles, applying a second coat if needed. After paint dries completely, draw a mouth and eyes on bottles using a paint pen.

This craft lends itself to endless variations. You could use glitter on the mouth and eyes to make them pop. You could also create a Frankenstein’s monster with green spray paint for the face and black spray paint for the hair. Or you could draw a spider’s web with a white paint pen on a green bottle.
