Healthy Summer Sweets

Indulging in desserts shouldn’t take a toll on your diet. For an afternoon snack that will satisfy your sweet tooth, try our freshly-made berry parfait recipe. Low in calories and high in antioxidants, this treat will curb any sugar craving.

Berry Yougurt Parfait

½ cup strawberries
½ cup blueberries
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
½ cup granola
½ teaspoon cinnamon
4 small glasses

In a small bowl combine granola and cinnamon together and mix thoroughly.

Put 1 tablespoon granola into the bottom of each glass. Then add 1½ tablespoons yogurt, 2 tablespoon strawberries and 2 tablespoon blueberries. Top off glass with another 1½ tablespoon yogurt and 1 tablespoon granola. Eat right away or store in fridge. Serves 4.
