Liven Up Your Home with a Paint Party

Fall has arrived, and while the next few months are some of the most magical, the chilly weather means that you’ll be spending more time indoors—be it in front of a crackling fire or laughing with friends at a holiday gathering. So, September’s the month to get your home in tip-top shape—especially when it comes to wall-color. Because if you’re going to be inside all winter, you might as well enjoy the view! So, put out some snacks like chips and dip, chill some mini KORBEL California Champagne bottles, and invite a few friends over for a Paint Party.

  • Sometimes all a room needs is a fresh coat of paint—or a completely new color. Either pick out a color beforehand or ask your friends for suggestions, then invite the gang over to help paint. For an easy way to outsmart those gloomy, fall afternoons, paint your room a bright color. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, shock everyone with a shade way outside your comfort zone. And if you don’t like how the room turns out… well that just means you get to host another Paint Party!
  • Can’t decide on a color? Then patterned, stick-on wallpaper is your new best friend. This type of wallpaper is a great option for those of us with “interior design commitment issues” because it sticks right on the wall but can easily be taken down if you realize that the red, white, and blue wallpaper you picked is way more patriotic than you planned. Plus, there are tons of videos online with tips on how to apply it to your walls. So, head to a home improvement store and pick out a roll you love. Then invite your friends over to help design your new space—don’t forget to celebrate your dazzling look with a glass of KORBEL.
  • Maybe your walls don’t need painting, but a piece of furniture does. A fun way to include all your Paint Party guests is to invite everyone to bring a piece of furniture over to paint. Suggest friends bring a small bookshelf or a bedside table that’s in need of a fresh coat or a color change. Then spread out some newspaper and spend the afternoon giving your piece of furniture a makeover.
