Making Halloween Sparkle

Halloween has long been associated with being dark and scary, but this year it is time to brighten up the holiday. Have a shabby chic Halloween and decorate your home with glitz and glitter instead of ghouls and goblins.

Add some sparkle and shine to some of your favorite Halloween decorations. Instead of carving pumpkins, try the latest pumpkin decorating trend and bedazzle your pumpkin. Paint your pumpkin then add some glitter and jewels. Make your pumpkin stand out.

Next, tackle a new craft and use the excess glitter from your pumpkins to decorate some champagne flutes.

When your champagne flutes are ready, add some sparkle to the inside with a KORBEL “Pink Pom Pom.”

KORBEL “Pink Pom Pom”

Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients:
  • ½ oz Pomegranate Liqueur
  • ½ oz Star Anise-Pink Peppercorn simple syrup*
  • ½ oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 4 oz KORBEL
  • Whole star anise, for garnish
Directions:

Combine the liqueur, simple syrup*, lime juice, & bitters, and shake with ice to chill. Pour into a coupe glass.

Finish by adding the KORBEL into the glass and float a Star Anise to garnish.

*To make simple syrup, combine 1 cup whole star anise, ½ cup pink peppercorns, 1 cup granulated sugar, & 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let steep 1-2 hours. Refrigerate, covered, until needed, then strain out solids and use infused syrup for cocktails.
