Sparkling Cupcakes for Galentine’s Day

While Valentine’s Day has been celebrated for centuries, Galentine’s Day is but a few years old. Show your girls just how special they are to you at this year’s get-together with a batch of KORBEL cupcakes. This sparkling treat is sure to have your crew relishing in the sweetness of each other’s company all evening long.

KORBEL Cupcakes

(Makes 12)

Cupcake Ingredients:

  • 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup salted butter, room temperature
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp KORBEL

Frosting Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp KORBEL

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a cupcake pan with cupcake liners. Whisk together your dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda and baking powder. Add butter, egg whites, vanilla, sour cream and KORBEL and mix on medium speed until smooth. Distribute batter evenly among cupcake liners. Bake 18-20 minutes. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

To make the frosting, combine the butter and shortening and mix until smooth. Mix in 2 cups of powdered sugar. Add KORBEL and mix again. Finally, add remaining powdered sugar and mix one last time.

Tip: Add more KORBEL if your frosting seems too thick.
