Mardi Gras Mimosa
Kick off your Mardi Gras celebration with a KORBEL twist on the classic NOLA Hurricane. When paired with king cake bites, you’ll have a proper Louisiana-style party fit for kings and queens!
KORBEL Hurricane Mimosa
- Ingredients
- 2ounces light rum
- 2ounces dark rum
- KORBEL Brut
- 1ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1ounce orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2-ounce passion fruit puree
- 1teaspoon grenadine
- For garnish: maraschino cherry
- Directions
- Mix together the light and dark rums, passionfruit puree, orange juice, lime juice and grenadine in a pitcher. Fill champagne flutes about a third of the way with the juice mixture. Top off with the KORBEL Brut and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
King Cake Bites
- Ingredients
- 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 2 tablespoons milk
- yellow, green, purple sugar or sprinkles
- Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 F.
- Beat cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar and lemon juice in a mixer.
- Separate dough into eight rectangles and seal the seams.
- Sprinkle each rectangle with 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Spread cream cheese mixture down the middle of each rectangle.
- Fold each rectangle into thirds to enclose filling, and then, cut each into four squares.
- Seam-sides down, place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the bites are cooling, mix 1 cup powdered sugar and milk.
- Spread on top of king cake bites and sprinkle with colored sugars/sprinkles.
